Music Lessons for Children ♫
I am classically trained and have specialized training in the Suzuki method that allows me to teach violin lessons to children as young as 3 years old, and cello lessons to children as young as 5 years old. I teach fiddle as well!
I enjoy working with students of all ages. When giving violin or cello lessons to children, I structure lessons and curriculum, provide students with weekly assignments, and recordings to play along with.
I love helping my students figure out what style of music they like playing best and will help students to find groups to play with so that they stay motivated to continue learning.
I teach violin viola and cello lessons to:
Violin: ages 3- adult, beginner through advanced
Viola: ages 5- adult, beginner through advanced
Cello: age 5 or 6 through adult, beginner and intermediate

Music Lessons for Adults ♫
I enjoy teaching adult students, whether they are returning to playing after many years, or are learning an instrument for the first time!
Adults learn differently than children, and I enjoy explaining technique and music theory to adult students, always staying focused on what they need to know to become a better violin, viola or cello player!
If you want to play for fun, join an orchestra, or play in a band, I can help you get there!
I teach violin, viola, and cello to:
Adult Beginners: violin, viola, cello
Intermediate: violin, viola, cello
Advanced: violin, viola
Remote Lessons ♫
Want to learn from the comfort of your home? Don't want to drive someplace else after work or school?
Remote lessons are a great choice! I teach remote lessons to students across the country. Remote lessons are flexible and can work around your busy schedule!
Remote lessons work best for students ages 10 and up, or for younger students with an adult present and helping out.
Along with your remote lesson I will provide you with:
A Google Doc containing notes from our lesson
This will help you to stay on track in your practicing
You'll know what songs to work on and what techniques to think about
Recordings to practice with
Photos of how to hold the instrument and bow correctly (for beginners)
Links to videos that address problems you are working to overcome
Answers to follow-up questions throughout the week
A reminder of your lesson 1 day ahead of time
In-Person Lessons ♫
If you're looking for in-person lessons- I teach violin, viola, cello and fiddle lessons out of my home in Travelers Rest, South Carolina Monday through Friday.
I have mid-day, afternoon and evening lesson times available. I have times available during the day for homeschool students.
Students come to me from all over upstate South Carolina: Greenville, Easley, Pumpkintown, and Berea.
I enjoy teaching students aged 3 through adults, of all levels: brand-new beginners, adults who used to play and are just picking things back up, high school students, people who are working toward playing with their church, and people who are learning to play by ear and improvise their own music!
